Fruitful weekend for the Zangersheide stallions!

In addition to the good performances of Solid Gold Z on the Longines Global Champions Tour of St. Tropez, many offspring of our Zangersheide stallions also jumped into the spotlight last weekend. And Solid Gold Z himself clearly had his part in this success, because in the Peelbergen Equestrian Center of Kronenberg the class for the 7-year-old horses on Friday was won by a daughter of him. The victory went to the Irish rider Ciaran Nallon with the mare Showoff AF Z, a breeding product of Enda Carroll of Ashford Farm. Showoff AF Z combines the genes of Solid Gold Z with those of Lamm de Fetan.

Also in Kronenberg, the blood of Air Jordan Alpha Z also managed to ensure success. During the 1.45m high final of the Medium Tour on Saturday, second place went to the Swiss rider Niklaus Rutschi with the 8-year-old mare Oxana Vd Bisschop. This Oxana Vd Bisschop was bred by Tom De Craene and is a daughter of Air Jordan Alpha Z in combination with Tornedo FCS. The day before, Rutschi and Oxana Vd Bisschop had also become sixth in a 1.40m class.

At the CSIO in Bratislava, HH Conrad Z delivered a winner. On Thursday during the opening day, the 1.40m class was convincingly won by the Italian rider Filippo Bassan with the 10-year-old mare Cerruti de Kreisker, a daughter of HH Conrad Z, in combination with Diamant de Semilly. With a clear second phase in 25.68 seconds, Bassan and Cerruti de Kreisker had more than two full seconds ahead of the competition.

But last weekend a descendant of HH Conrad Z also managed to jump into the spotlight in Sentower Park. The second place during the CSI1* GP on Friday evening went to Paulien Schepers with the 8-year-old mare Egerie de Hus, a breeding product of Haras de Hus that also combines the genes of HH Conrad Z with those of Diamant de Semilly. In a jump-off for which five combinations managed to qualify, Schepers and Egerie de Hus were seven hundredths of a second short of victory.

Finally, in Opglabbeek there was also a second place for the Irish rider Dermott Lennon with the 8-year-old mare All Pleasure Hero II Z, a daughter of our chestnut stallion Aganix du Seigneur Z and For Pleasure, who was bred by Horse Invest Ltd. Lennon and All Pleasure Hero II Z took their second place in a 1.40m class on Saturday.
