Contagio Z offspring shine in Devon and St. Gallen!
In addition to the GP victory of Colorit Z daughter Concordia 49 during the CSI4* GP of Wiesbaden, it was also another successful weekend for the offspring of Contagio Z, the other grey stallion of our Studfarm. The CSI4* GP of Devon in the United States was won by the American rider McLain Ward with his 13-year-old chestnut gelding Contagious, a son of Contagio Z and For Keeps with whom he also won the CSI4* GP of Wellington last winter. Ward and Contagious were one of the seven combinations that qualified for the jump-off in Devon, where they claimed the victory with a clear round in 32.30 seconds.
But Contagious was not the only Contagio Z offspring who managed to jump into the spotlight last weekend. At the CSIO5* in St. Gallen, Switzerland, there was another victory for the Brazilian rider Francisco José Mesquita Musa with the 12-year-old mare Catch Me Imperio Egipcio (Contagio Z x Werther). Mesquita Musa and Catch Me Imperio Egipcio immediately started their show very well and became the winners of the 1.45m class on Friday during the opening day. With a clear second phase in 35.84 seconds, they had exactly one and a half seconds ahead of the competition.
A day later, the duo also managed to score another podium place in a 1.45m class. In a jump-off for which nine combinations were able to qualify, they jumped to a third place after they again managed to ensure a double clear round.
